  Goojaree, Fifth Mehl:

• ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਕਰੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥

  दुइ कर जोड़ि करी बेनंती ठाकुरु अपना धिआइआ ॥

  Dhue Kar Jorr Karee Baenanthee Thakur Apana Dhhiaeia ||

  With my palms pressed together, I offer my prayer, meditating on my Lord and Master.

• ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖੇ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਰਤੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

  हाथ देइ राखे परमेसरि सगला दुरतु मिटाइआ ॥१॥

  Hathh Dhaee Rakhae Paramaesar Sagala Dhurath Mittaeia ||1||

  Giving me His hand, the Transcendent Lord has saved me, and erased all my sins. ||1||

• ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥

  ठाकुर होए आपि दइआल ॥

  Thakur Hoeae Ap Dhaeial ||

  The Lord and Master Himself has become merciful.

• ਭਈ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਆਨੰਦ ਰੂਪ ਹੁਈ ਹੈ ਉਬਰੇ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

  भई कलिआण आनंद रूप हुई है उबरे बाल गुपाल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

  Bhee Kalian Anandh Roop Huee Hai Oubarae Bal Gupal ||1|| Rehao ||

  I have been emancipated, the embodiment of bliss; I am the child of the Lord of the Universe - He has carried me across. ||1||Pause||

• ਮਿਲਿ ਵਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੁ ॥

  मिलि वर नारी मंगलु गाइआ ठाकुर का जैकारु ॥

  Mil Var Naree Mangal Gaeia Thakur Ka Jaikar ||

  Meeting her Husband, the soul-bride sings the songs of joy, and celebrates her Lord and Master.

• ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਭ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥੨॥੬॥੧੫॥

  कहु नानक तिसु गुर बलिहारी जिनि सभ का कीआ उधारु ॥२॥६॥१५॥

  Kahu Naanak This Gur Baliharee Jin Sabh Ka Keea Oudhhar ||2||6||15||

  Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Guru, who has emancipated everyone. ||2||6||15||

• ਜੀਅ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਕਰਿ ॥

  जीअ की बिरथा होइ सु गुर पहि अरदासि करि ॥

  Jeea Kee Birathha Hoe S Gur Pehi Aradhas Kar ||

  When your soul is feeling sad, offer your prayers to the Guru.

• ਛੋਡਿ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਧਰਿ ॥

  छोडि सिआणप सगल मनु तनु अरपि धरि ॥

  Shhodd Sianap Sagal Man Than Arap Dhhar ||

  Renounce all your cleverness, and dedicate your mind and body to Him.

• ਪੂਜਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਪੈਰ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਜਾਇ ਜਰਿ ॥

  पूजहु गुर के पैर दुरमति जाइ जरि ॥

  Poojahu Gur Kae Pair Dhuramath Jae Jar ||

  Worship the Feet of the Guru, and your evil-mindedness shall be burnt away.

• ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਤਰਿ ॥

  साध जना कै संगि भवजलु बिखमु तरि ॥

  Sadhh Jana Kai Sang Bhavajal Bikham Thar ||

  Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, you shall cross over the terrifying and difficult world-ocean.

• ਸੇਵਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੇਵ ਅਗੈ ਨ ਮਰਹੁ ਡਰਿ ॥

  सेवहु सतिगुर देव अगै न मरहु डरि ॥

  Saevahu Sathigur Dhaev Agai N Marahu Ddar ||

  Serve the True Guru, and in the world hereafter, you shall not die of fear.

• ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਕਰੇ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ਊਣੇ ਸੁਭਰ ਭਰਿ ॥

  खिन महि करे निहालु ऊणे सुभर भरि ॥

  Khin Mehi Karae Nihal Oonae Subhar Bhar ||

  In an instant, he shall make you happy, and the empty vessel shall be filled to overflowing.

• ਮਨ ਕਉ ਹੋਇ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ॥

  मन कउ होइ संतोखु धिआईऐ सदा हरि ॥

  Man Ko Hoe Santhokh Dhhiaeeai Sadha Har ||

  The mind becomes content, meditating forever on the Lord.

• ਸੋ ਲਗਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਕਰਮੁ ਧੁਰਿ ॥੬॥

  सो लगा सतिगुर सेव जा कउ करमु धुरि ॥६॥

  So Laga Sathigur Saev Ja Ko Karam Dhhur ||6||

  He alone dedicates himself to the Guru*s service, unto whom the Lord has granted His Grace. ||6||
